That is why we make three simple promises to every client.
First, your story is treated with respect.
Your memories remain your own, and your memoir is written with care, discretion, and professionalism.
Second, you remain in control of your story.
Every chapter is sent to you for review and approval, and revisions are included in every package so your memoir reflects your voice and your life exactly as you wish it to be told.
Third, we stand behind our work.
Your first chapter is covered by a simple guarantee. If you are not happy after seeing how we bring your story to life, your deposit is fully refunded.
Our goal is not simply to produce a book.
Our goal is to create a memoir you and your family will treasure for generations.
The Simple Version
• Your memoir begins with a £98 deposit, which covers the writing of your first chapter.
• If you are not delighted with your first chapter, the deposit is fully refundable.
• Bronze clients receive one rewrite of any chapter if they are not satisfied.
• Silver and Gold clients receive two rewrites of any chapter.
• If you choose not to continue partway through the project, we provide a fair credit based on the work not yet completed.
• Credits remain valid for 12 months and may be transferred to another person.

Terms and Conditions of Sale
Talk Your Story – Memoir Writing Service
These Terms and Conditions apply to all memoir writing services provided by Talk Your Story. By placing an order for any package, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Our Service
Talk Your Story provides a professional memoir writing and editing service based on information supplied by the client through guided question and answer sessions and supporting materials.
Our role is to transform your memories, experiences and stories into a professionally written memoir. The accuracy of the information provided remains the responsibility of the client.
2. Packages
Talk Your Story offers three memoir packages:
Bronze Package
Silver Package
Gold Package
Each package includes a professionally written memoir produced through structured sessions with our guided system and editorial team.
The number of pages, chapters, and features included in each package are described on the website and form part of the purchase agreement.
3. Deposit and First Chapter Guarantee
All memoir projects begin with a £98 deposit.
This deposit covers the preparation and writing of your first chapter.
If, after receiving your first chapter, you decide the service is not right for you, the deposit will be fully refunded, provided the request is made within 7 days of receiving the chapter.
Once you approve the first chapter and choose to continue with the memoir project, the remaining balance becomes payable according to the payment plan selected.
4. Chapter Revisions
We want every client to be delighted with their memoir.
For this reason we include the following revision policy:
Bronze Package
One rewrite or revision is included for each chapter if the client is not satisfied.
Silver Package
Up to two rewrites or revisions are included for each chapter.
Gold Package
Up to two rewrites or revisions are included for each chapter.
Revisions must relate to clarity, corrections, or reasonable changes to content supplied by the client.
Major changes caused by new information, additional stories, or significant alterations to previously approved chapters may require additional editing work and may be subject to an additional charge.
5. Client Responsibilities
The quality of a memoir depends heavily on the material provided.
Clients agree to:
Provide truthful and accurate information
Participate in the guided question sessions
Review chapters within a reasonable timeframe
Provide feedback when revisions are requested
Delays in responses may affect project timelines.
6. Payment Plans
After the deposit, the remaining balance for the selected package may be paid according to the payment schedule offered at the time of purchase.
All payments must be completed before the final manuscript and completed memoir files are delivered.
7. Refunds and Credits
Because memoir writing is a creative service that involves significant work, refunds are limited once work has begun.
Deposit Refund
The £98 deposit is refundable only if the client decides not to proceed after receiving the first chapter.
After Project Approval
Once the client has approved the first chapter and the project proceeds, cash refunds are not provided.
However, if a client chooses to discontinue the project, Talk Your Story will provide a credit based on work not yet completed.
Example (Bronze Package)
Bronze package price: £498
Deposit: £98
Remaining balance: £400
Bronze memoirs typically contain 10 chapters.
Each chapter therefore represents £40 of production work.
If a client stops after 5 completed chapters:
Work completed: £200
Remaining value: £200
The client will receive a credit of £200.
8. Credit Terms
Credits issued under this policy:
Are valid for 12 months
May be used toward any Talk Your Story memoir package
May be transferred to another person
Cannot be exchanged for cash
9. Ownership and Copyright
Upon full payment of the memoir package:
The client receives full rights to their memoir content.
Talk Your Story retains the right to use excerpts or images of the book for marketing purposes unless the client requests confidentiality.
Client privacy and discretion are respected at all times.
10. Delivery of Manuscript
Final memoirs are delivered in digital format and in printed format where applicable according to the package purchased.
Estimated completion timelines depend on:
Client response times
Revision requests
Production schedules
While every effort is made to meet timelines, creative services cannot always guarantee exact delivery dates.
11. Limitation of Liability
Talk Your Story provides a professional writing and editing service based on information supplied by the client.
We cannot be held responsible for:
Historical accuracy of information supplied
Disputes arising from personal stories or recollections
Legal claims arising from material provided by the client
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the material they provide does not infringe on the rights of others.
12. Changes to Services
Talk Your Story reserves the right to improve or update services, workflows, or delivery methods where necessary, provided that the overall value of the package purchased is maintained.
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by English Law.
